We went to Festival of Trees with my Brother and his girls. It was my first time going! We all had fun! What a good way to start the Christmas season! The kids made tons of crafts and their favorite was standing inside a bubble!

On my birthday we ventured downtown to see the lights! It was cold but we all had fun, luckily it didn't start snowing until we stopped for hot cocoa on the way home. It was also the first year for the two little girls to see Temple Square all lit up, they were in awe all night seeing the lights and baby Jesus! We have usually gone on a weekend when it is extremely busy, I liked going on a Monday night it wasn't crowded so the kids had room to run without us having to worry about losing them in the crowd. We always take trax and on the way home the train that we were planning on taking was packed all 4 of them so we had to wait for the next train. I couldn't figure out where all the people came from until the next night when I watched the news and found out there was a special basketball thing going on where everyone was expecting to see Michael Jordan and a look alike was hired instead, evidently half the 70,000 seats emptied out because of that. The train we did take was still pretty full the four older kids shared 3 seats, the babies stayed buckled in their strollers and my Brother and I stood. We got home as the snow started to stick and woke up to a foot and a half of snow in the yard!
